#mirahi #stella #entrepreneurship #healthcare

MIRAHI (Making Innovation a Reality – African Health Initiative) is an acceleration program that supports the validation and scale-up of entrepreneurial solutions tackling systemic healthcare challenges in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The program works with a small number of local partners that can help provide access to an understanding of key challenges, an opportunity to validate solutions and deeper connection to local health innovation ecosystems. Current partners include Healthtech Hub Africa, Ifakara Health Institute Innovation hub and partners in South Africa.

The current focus is on opportunities for Swiss startups in South Africa, Rwanda and Tanzania and supporting African start-ups identified by partners for collaboration with the Swiss ecosystem. If you have a solution that could fit please reach out to the program manager at

MIRAHI is run by the University of Basel Innovation Office, the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute and the broader Swiss innovation ecosystem, on behalf of the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation(SERI) as part of the Leading House Africa program.
