As the world faces the global challenge of Climate Change, Cleantech solutions will be essential. As part of the Swiss Leading House Africa initiative, the AIT Cleantech program seeks to create connections between Swiss and African ecosystems to foster opportunities for Sciencepreneurs from both regions.

In 2022, the program issued its first call for Swiss startups and curated a trip to South Africa in March 2023. The trip provided valuable insights into market opportunities and connections with academic and industry partners. Read the full report below. 

The AIT Cleantech program will engage with African partners to both create opportunities for Swiss Start-ups and co-create programmes that create value through connection between Swiss and African innovation ecosystems.
