AIT Cleantech Program

#entrepreneurship #cleantech

Cleantech solutions will be necessary to combat Climate Change, a global challenge. As part of the Leading House Africa the AIT Cleantech offers a number of opportunities to engage in South Africa and further countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.

A first call will be launched in 2022 with the goal of providing opportunities for Swiss startups and also building partnerships to provide opportunities for startups from Sub-Saharan African to explore opportunities and exchange knowledge with the Swiss ecosystem.

The first call for Swiss startups can be found on the f6s platform here. This first call will have a particular focus on South Africa but will also offer opportunities for engagement with further university and industry partners to gain a better understanding of the market in other sub-saharan countries. You can read more about the opportunity in South Africa and the planned Swiss-South Africa Cleantech opportunity here.

If you are an interested member of the Cleantech innovation ecosystem in either Switzerland or Sub-Saharan Africa but don’t fit the call please get in contact with the program manager directly douglas.haggstrom@unibas.ch

The AIT Cleantech program is part of the broader Leading House Africa program here. On that site you can explore other opportunities in Middle East and North Africa, East and South East Asia, South Asia and Iran, Latin America and Russia and CIS.
